The American Lung Association in Illinois currently offers the following radon licensure courses:

Radon 101: Measurement Licensure Course

• Online and classroom-style available
• Classroom-style available July 9-13, 2012
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency approved Radon Measurement qualifying course
• 16 hours of Continuing Education Credit
• Course manual, online field simulation and a course completion certificate
• With the course certificate the prospective licensee may apply to take the Illinois Emergency Management Agency's Radon Licensure Exam
• The American Lung Association offers this course for only $300.00.

Radon 201: Mitigation Licensure Course

• Online and classroom-style available
• Classroom-style available July 9-13, 2012
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency approved Radon Measurement qualifying course
• 16 hours of Continuing Education Credit
• Course manual, video field experience, and a course completion certificate
• With the course certificate the prospective licensee may apply to take the Illinois Emergency Management Agency's Radon Licensure Exam
• The American Lung Association offers this course for only $450.00.

The ALAIL also offers a special discount price of $650 for individuals who enroll in both the Measurement AND Mitigation courses. There is no time limit for class enrollments (i.e. you take the ALAIL measurement course, wait 2-3 years and then want to take the ALAIL mitigation course, you are still eligible for the discount on the mitigation course!).
